in 1985, the Arizona Black United
Fund, Inc. is very proud of our history, accomplishments and
contributions as a member and one of 16 affiliates of the National Black
United Fund (NBUF). We have touched hundreds of lives by empowering women,
assisting people who have made mistakes as they repair their lives, as
well as by providing nurturing and safe activities for
children. If
you would like to stay informed about our events, activities and programs,
please subscribe to our free, monthly e-newsletter. The National Black
United Fund (NBUF)
was created in 1972 in Los Angeles by Mr. Walter P. Bremond to
re-establish the notion of self-investment in African Americans. The
headquarters of the NBUF is now located in Newark, NJ. Affiliates
are located in Arizona, New York, Detroit, Los Angeles, Canton, Atlanta,
Baltimore, Bay Area (Oakland), Houston, Pennsylvania, New Jersey,
Portland, St. Louis, Boston and Kansas City. Arizona
